中文摘要 | 儒家作為統治原理的一面,其在本質上所涵蘊的支配理論為何?這是韋伯 (M. Weber) 深感興趣、多次提及、卻未能清楚回答的問題。本文參照韋伯有關支配類型的架構,聚焦在先秦儒家部分,探討其屬於哪一種正當性類型。首先,筆者探討了先秦儒家是否具有類似於韋伯的正當性觀念?繼則分別析論其中有哪些面向符合或背離了法制型支配、傳統型支配和卡理斯瑪支配?最後,則基於韋伯的三種正當性類型都不能妥當適用於先秦儒家的支配理論,因而進一步抽象、試擬出一種新的純粹類型 ── 道德型正當性,企圖更有解釋力地來說明先秦儒家的支配理論。 |
英文摘要 | This article aims at giving a clear location to the type of Confucian domination theory in the pre-Ch’in period. With the reference of Max Weber’s framework about the types of domination, the Author first analyses whether Confucians in the pre-Ch’in period have the idea of legitimacy. Then the Author discusses respectively its relations with Weber’s legal legitimacy, traditional legitimacy and charismatic legitimacy. The Author concludes that Weber’s framework is not intermesh to the type of Confucian domination theory in the pre-Ch’in period. Therefore the Author establishes a new “pure type” of so-called “moral legitimacy” as a better explanation to Confucian domination theory. |
