英文摘要 | In the 2007 Developing Japanese Exam Pattern Project as a Second Foreign Language, conducted by College Entrance Examination Center, Japanese exam patterns were divided into basic and advanced levels. Vocabulary and grammar were used as a guideline to divide the range for the basic exam and advanced exam, whereas the question pattern includes listening comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, etc. Using a pattern simiar to the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Level 4, the basic exam was directed to (1) the general student body of senior high schools that takes Japanese as an elective, (2) sophomores at senior high sophomores majoring in Japanese, and (3) college sophomores whose major is Japanese. As for the advanced exam, it is equivalent to JLPT Level 3, a level that is intended for senior high school seniors majoring in Japanese, and college senior Japanese majors. The content of the basic exam is also included in the advanced exam. The author has designed a quantity of writing questions that are suitable to this Japanese Exam and analyzed the results of questionnaires as follows: Writing 1 is a basic writing question pattern, and Writing 2 pertains to the advanced one. Basic examinees shall answer only Writing 1, counted as 20 points, whereas the advanced examinees have to answer both Writing 1 and Writing 2, with 10 points for each section. Despite a lack of statistics offered to evaluate the test difficulty and differentiation of this writing examination, the questionnaires have revealed their appropriateness and usefulness, as the information was gathered from the senior high students, college students, Japanese teachers who have undertaken such a survey. Moreover, the views given by the students and teachers on the nature and uses of the writing showed their feasibility. |
