中文摘要 | 在近年來的研究中,同儕網路(Peer-to-Peer Network)系統架構及效能已經被大幅的提升與改善,網路拓樸也從Tree-Push、Mesh-Pull,慢慢轉變為Push-Pull的Hybrid架構與Mesh-Push的網路編碼方式。以Mesh為基礎的網路拓樸有著堅固穩定的優點,被認為是在高度變化的同儕串流網路中的最佳解決方案。然而,雖然網路拓樸的架構已經有大幅的改善,Buffer Map (BM)的交換方式仍然沒有太大的改變,目前所採用的BM交換方法,仍沿用最傳統的方式。在本論文中,我們提出兩種創新且可節省網路負載的BM交換方法,此新型的改良BM交換方法特別適用於以Mesh-Push為基礎的網路編碼演算法。與傳統的BM交換方法比較,我們的方法可以節省約40%的BM交換網路負載,在合理的條件下甚至可節省高達70%的負載。 |
英文摘要 | In recent years, the performance of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) systems has been greatly improved. The P2P network topology has migrated from tree-push, mesh-pull, and push-pull to mesh-push network coding schemes. The Mesh-based topology is one of the most robust, and probably is the best solution in a high-churn P2P streaming environments. Though improvements in network topology has been achieved, the Buffer Map (BM) exchanging scheme is still being used after the CoolStreaming was proposed. In this paper, we will present two economic BM exchanging schemes that are suitable for mesh-push based network coding environment. Compared to traditional BM exchanging scheme, our method can save about 40% BM traffic and even higher as 70% in usual conditions. |
