英文摘要 | A citrate-nitrate process was successfully used to prepare a monoclinic celsian powder with the stoichiometric composition of BaAl2Si2O8 (BAS). The solutions of barium, aluminum and lithium nitrates, colloidal silica, citric acid, and diethylene glycol were combined and afforded a clear gel on mixing which was further decomposed on heating to an easily handled precursor in a powder form. The characteristics of this dried precursors were analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), thermal mechanical analysis (TMA), respectively. BAS precursor doped with 0.2 mole LiNO3 would reach full conversion of hexacelsian-to-monocelsian in the temperature range of 850 oC – 900 oC after 4-hour calcinations. |
