目前鹿林山背景站已納入全球觀測網,包括NASA/AERONet和 NOAA/GMD監測網。 |
英文摘要 | In recent years, people have been paying more and more attention to long-range transport of atmospheric pollutants such as acid pollutants, Asian dust, biomass burning components and mercury. In order to clarify the intercontinental/regional transport paths and to collect atmospheric background data, the Lulin Atmospheric Background Station (LABS, 2862 m MSL), located at Mt. Lulin in central Taiwan, has been operating since 13 April 2006. This station integrates researchers from the fields of precipitation chemistry, gas chemistry, aerosol chemistry, atmospheric mercury and radiation to join the program, conduct data analysis and construct a long-term database. To summarize the results, the maximum concentration of pollutants generally occurred during springtime, especially in March, corresponding to the biomass burning from SE Asia. Moreover, we have established intensive international collaborations with USEPA, NOAA, NASA, and Japan Mt. Fuji Project. We have also participated in international experiments or campaigns including UNEP/ABC/EAREX and BASE-Asia. The LABS is now an essential part of global networks such as NASA/AERONet, NOAA/Global sampling network. We also held the 7-SEAS workshop in 2008. More than 30 international scientists participated to present on regional pollution issues and discuss future regional experiments. We also presented the preliminary results of LABS and invited all attendees to visit the station. The information about LABS can be found at the web site:http://labs.org.tw. |
