中文摘要 | 一般高中生剛上大學時,由於英文基礎並不紮實,又加上無法適應教師以全英文的方式上課,在語言能力不足的情況下,往往產生許多學習上的障礙與挫折,因此,本論文整合內文導向教學法中之「主旨導向模式」與「附屬模式」,設計一套整合型英語教學課程,以幫助學生在不同的情境下,能用英語清楚地表達自己的想法,更能以外語爲工具,輕易地理解所學的學科內容。由於文學比其他學科更注重語法、字詞的修飾,學生較易學得正統的英文,本論文將該套整合型課程,應用於教授短篇小說的科目上,使大學生能清楚地理解文中的內容,並且訓練他們有更深入的思考,同時又能增進他們的英語聽、說、讀、寫能力。由於一般的英語教師,對於內文導向英語教學法,並無深厚的理論基礎,因此,本論文所提出的整合型短篇小說課程之設計與應用,對傳統的英語教學方法,將邁向一個新的領域。 |
英文摘要 | When senior high school students enter universities, due to the lack of English language ability and using the immersion education in school, they often encounter a lot of frustrations. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to familiarize EFL instructors with the effectiveness of using short stories in the content-based foreign language instruction. By integrating "theme-based model" and "adjunct model" in the content-based curriculum, students can acquire English abilities, not only to communicate, but also to use it as a tool to comprehend the subject matter in school. Because the course of literature much emphasizes the exploration of themes than the other courses, students can learn more about how to express their ideas through language. This new designed literature curriculum can teach EFL students' knowledge of a content area, train their critical thinking ability, and increase their linguistic knowledge and English fluency. Due to the lack of the rationale of the content-based literature instruction, this paper can march toward a new dimension by this new integrated teaching curriculum with the use of short stories. |
