英文摘要 | This research focused on the cheerleaders including 17 males and 8 females in Shu-Te University. They participated in cheerleading for 3 years in average. Through freely describing question sheets, participants shared their experience of the cause of injury, probability, and the region of injury. The main results were as followed: 1. During the activity of cheerleading, the easiest harmful region was the wrist and the probability was 68 percent high. The next would be the ankle, and the probability was 60 percent. The third was the waist, and the probability was 44 percent. 2. Through all the injury types, “to sprain” and “to pull” could be seen generally. The probability was more than 50 percent. The reason mostly was “the lack of warm-up exercise”, then “the lack of skill, motional technique”, then “the bad condition of nerves, distraction or too nervous”. Others like “to collide” or “to brake”, were caused mainly by “the bad condition of nerves or not concentrate”. 3. The other result was that the female injury was more popular than the male’s during cheerleading. The main reason included the attitude and concept of the athletes, the protection skill of the bottom members, and their physical conditions. The coach should keep more attention during training and study the mental condition of athletes deeper. Once a cheerleader gets hurt during cheerleading, it will be a problem to recover from physical flexibility. Furthermore, it’s also hard to overcome the mental block to do perfect actions. How to prevent the injury from cheerleading is what we need to deal with in urgent. |
