中文摘要 | 台北市政府文化局為推廣兒童戲劇之創作並提昇兒童戲劇之水準,自2002年起開始辦理「台北市『兒童藝術節』兒童戲劇創作徵選活動」。至目前為止,已有五屆的成果出爐。 在歷屆的得獎名單中,引發筆者關注的是趙自強所創作的二部劇本《輕輕公主》及《六道鎖》。它們分別於2002年 (第一屆) 及2005年 (第四屆) 獲得該屆「首選獎」,這樣的得獎經驗在五屆得獎名單的分佈狀況是獨有的。進一步探究,這二部劇作中各有一位「公主」為女性人物的角色代表。雖然在古典童話中,「公主」是一個耳熟能詳的女性代表人物,甚至已有問定的發展「程式」可循。不過,兒童劇本為能符合表演,往往在人物的性別、角色發展詮釋上呈現出更誇張的對立性。本文援用茱蒂斯‧巴特勒 (Judith Bulter) 所提出之「性別操演J」(gender performativity) 的概念,就兒童劇文本中的性別角色、 性別配置議題進行分析,試圖探究巴特勒「性別操演」的理論在兒童劇中的實踐方式。 |
英文摘要 | Gender Performativity in Children’s Drama In order to boost the creation and standard of children’s theater, the Department of Cultural Affairs of Taipei City Government conducted the Creation Selection of Children's Play in Taipei Children’s Arts Festival in 2002. Up to date, a fruitful outcome over five years has been attained. On the past years’ award list, what caught the author’s attention were two plays: “The Light Princess” and “The Six-fold Locks”, created by Tzu-Chiang Chao. These plays won the Best Award in 2002 (the first year) and 2005 (the fourth year), respectively. An award-winning experience like this is exclusive on the award list for the five years. In a further exploration, it is found that, a “princess” role exists in each script to represent all females. A fixed developing “pattern” is even traceable. However, in order to achieve the performance purpose, a more exaggerating confrontation in interpretation of the characters' gender and their development is demonstrated. In this study, the gender performativity concept, proposed by Judith Bulter, will be referred to conduct analysis of the gender role and gender assignation, in an attempt to explore how Judith Bulter’s theory of gender performativity is carried out in children’s theaters and plays. |
