中文摘要 | 1990年代中期起性別教育在英美澳等英語系世界開始出現「轉向男孩」(the boy turn)之發展趨勢。澳洲政府2002年更以國家層次發布了《男孩們:正確之路》(Boys: Getting it right)之報告書,呼籲對男孩教育採取措施,希望改善男孩在行為表現、學習成績與升學等各方面比女孩差的現象。本文檢視澳洲2002年以來男孩教育政策之發展,並回溯澳洲自1970年代以來性別教育從關注女生轉向關注男生之變遷,探討其中之意識形態與教育理念之抗爭,並作為臺灣性別教育發展之參照。 |
英文摘要 | Boys' education has bee focused by some English speaking countries (such as the USA, the UK, and Australia) since the mid-1990s. Australian government even issued a national report Boys: Getting it right to justify the needs of dealing with boys' problems of schooling (such as low achievement and low self-esteem) in 2002. This paper will review the policies of gender education in Australia since the 1970s. We will explore the reasons of "the boy turn" and discuss the ideologies related to feminism and anti-feminism and pedagogy of sex segregation. The development of gender education in Taiwan will be referenced as well to find out why there is no similar development in Taiwan. |
