英文摘要 | Trackwork is an essential part of rail transportation. Especially for the Taipei MRT with steel wheels and steel rails, the rails are a vital element. To enhance passenger comfort levels and reduce running noise, the application of continuous welded rail (CWR) for the MRT running tracks has become a necessary and foreseeable trend. CWR tracks are made from individual plant-made steel rails that have been welded together using flash-butt welding (FBW), thermit-welding (TW), and insulated rail joint (IRJ). CWR has been used in Taipei MRT projects since the Danshui line was constructed. This paper aims to describe the work processes of FBW, TW, and IRJ during the construction process of CWR tracks. |
