英文摘要 | During the Ch'ing dynasty, the "Black Rock Mountain Studio" (Wu-shih-shan-fang) and "Great harmony Hall" (Ta-t'ung Lou) of the Fukkienese scholar Kung Yi-t'u (1836-1893) had an impressive collection of over one hundred thousand literary and artistic works. This collection is connected with the collections of Sung, Yuan, and Ming works assembled by such famous Fukkienese personages as Hsü Po, Lin Chi, Cheng Chieh, as well as handwritten copies. Also, a large number of antique materials from other collections and volumes for practical usage were included, altogether comprising a unique and valuable collection. At the beginning of the Republican period, a portion of Mr. Kung's collection was given to Taipei Imperial University (National Taiwan University). The bulk of the collection, however, was bequested to the Fujian Province Library and the Fujian Normal University Library. Luckily, the number of books missing from Mr. Kung's original collection is very small indeed. This article utilizes National Taiwan University's copies of Wu-shih-shan-fang Chien-ming Shu-mu and Ta-t'ung-lou Ts'ang-shu Mu-lu-pu as its major sources. On one hand, it will examine the overall number of books currently present in the Taipei and Fukkien collections as well as their overall state of preservation. Additionally, the provenance, type, and content of these books will be considered, as well as their historical value. Finally, this article will seek to shed new light on the figure of Kung Yi-t'u himself – an important figure who was both a writer and book collector in the late Ch'ing. |
