英文摘要 | The huge development of information technology (IT) is creating a new approach to learning, which not only influences people's learning methods but impacts on the educational field. It has become common in many countries to introduce the Internet during the educational process. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to discuss the Internet-based learning form constructivist perspectives, and evaluate the instructional Website used in some Taiwanese primary schools. The paper includes three major issues: 1. Basic theories related to the constructivist-oriented pedagogy; 2. The criteria for examining instructional Websites form constructivist viewpoints; and 3. Evaluations of the Website integrated into Taiwanese native education. The findings could be concluded as follows: 1. Students using the Internet-based instruction may have more chances to expose themselves to diverse knowledge than those learning through textbooks; 2. There is a possibility of enhancing students' learning effectiveness by combining the Internet-based instruction with a constructivist-oriented setting; 3. Whether the learning activities of the Internet-based instruction correspond to pedagogies in a constructivist-oriented setting may be one of the main factors influencing students' learning processes and results. |
