英文摘要 | A total dynamic index (TDI) based on the system dynamics is proposed for the optimal tuning of conventional lead-lag power system stabilizers (PSSs). The derivations for this index are developed and an explicit expression is therefore given. An objective function, constructed from the TDI, combining with a set of constraints consisting of the bounds of PSS parameters can formulate an optimization problem to represent the tuning problem of PSSs. By using basic genetic algorithms (GAs) to solve this problem, the optimal tuning of PSS parameters can be determined. The tuning process of PSSs can easily incorporate the consideration of different operating conditions to obtain the robustness of the PSSs over a wide range of operating conditions. A 10-generator 39-bus power system is taken as the test system. Three assessment methods, the eigenvalue analysis, the time-domain simulation and the total dynamic index, are all performed on the test system. Comparing with the eigenvalue based performance index, simulation results demonstrate that the proposed index (TDI) is a more effective index applied to the optimal tuning of power system stabilizers. |
