英文摘要 | The 250~270mm slabs are rolled into strips ranging from 1.2 to 24.0mm by CSC’s #1 HSM. These slabs are threaded through roughing mill, finishing mill and cooled down by laminar flow cooling system which lowers the strip’s temperature from 850~930℃ to 550~730℃. The design philosophy was developed in 1980’s for the laminar flow cooling system, however, however, the system could not satisfy today’s need to cope with new products. Besides, the old down coilers were neither powerful enough to coil high strength and ultra heavy gauge steels nor getting better quality in a coil shape. These weaknesses resulted in the revamping of the laminar flow cooling and down coilers. The level II process control system plays an important role in the revamping plan, which includes Coiler Temperature Control (CTC) model, automation control and new Human Machine Interface (HMI) etc. |
