英文摘要 | The low cost, high efficiency, single-feed microstrip antenna with a two-layer substrate for circular polarization (CP) is presented. A new CP design of a single-feed nearly square patch with two truncated square corners is also described here. The two-layer substrate consists of an FR4 dielectric layer and a foam layer. The effects of the foam substrate on impedance bandwidth, axial ratio, antenna efficiency (gain), and radiation pattern of the circularly polarized microstrip antenna are analyzed and discussed. Results show that the inserted foam substrate can effectively improve the CP performances of a microstrip antenna printed on an FR4 circuit board substrate. |
