| 中文摘要 | 發展以IP乙太技術為基礎的下一代網路(IP NGN),最基本的就是需要在網路上支援對端對端的服務保障能力。必須提供這些能力的設備包括了用戶網路終端、接取/彙集/核心網路設備以及多元服務設備。這些能力在近幾年相較於以往已經有了顯著改善。 傳統乙太網路缺乏電信等級管理能力,不能進行第二層網路的查測。利用SNMP(Simple Network Manage- ment Protocol)技術也只能管理設備及鏈路狀態,不能檢測端對端服務以及乙太虛擬電路之連接。另外也缺乏類似傳統TDM網路之性能監測功能。 發展寬頻網路除了要具備新的網路技術,也必須相對有新障礙查測思維。本文從上述角度切入研究,提出最深入之技術剖析以及對本公司下一代寬頻網路障礙查測發展建議。 |
| 英文摘要 | The main objective of developing IP NGN is to ensure the end-to-end service guarantee on the network layer. The network devices which should provide the capability of service guarantee include CPE, access/aggregation, IP/MPLS and multi-service core devices. Recently these devices have been improved a lot regarding the capability of service guarantee. Traditional Ethernet network is known for its lack of carrier-grade management capability and layer 2 OAM tools. SNMP can merely do device and link management, while it cannot do end-to-end management over services and Ethernet virtual circuits. TDM network-like performance monitoring is also unavailable for traditional Ethernet network. To build the next-generation broadband network, aside from developing new network technologies, OAM capabilities must be emphasized. This article will focus on this topic and give insightful analysis. Finally the suggestions for OAM over CHT's next-generation broadband network will be proposed.. |
