中文摘要 | 本文分析世新大學語言中心1998年期末考聽力測驗試題,由試題編寫及修訂的過程中,逐步發展出一個以理解為導向的聽力測驗,有別於一般以記憶為導向的試題。並經由統計學生答題的正誤比例,尋求同學答案錯誤的原因及其與試題的相關性。初步結論,學生除基本文法及聽力問題外,尚有文化認知差異的困難。期盼本文能作為評估及設計英語聽力測驗的根據及參考。 |
英文摘要 | It is the purpose of this article to propose a better methodology of giving listening examinations to students of English as a foreign language. The study analyzes the Shih Hsin University Language Center's Fall 1998 listening comprehension final examination. The process of composition to revisions to final examination form are studies and explained. It was the desire of the center to develop questions that would test students' levels of understanding and their ability to infer, as opposed to an exam based on simple recognition and paraphrasing questions. From analyzed statistical data this paper tries to establish the causes of students' mistakes and thieir areas of difficulty in learning English. The findings are that more standard vocabulary goals need to be established among instructors for each exam and the need to develop students' understanding of the cultural aspects of the English language. It is the hopes that this paper will be used as a guide to English teachers in developing more accurate listening examinations in measuring their students' proficiency. |
