中文摘要 | 本研究目的是藉由現象學研究法描述腦瘤青少年在學校適應過程中的生活經驗。依立意取樣方式,共計15位個案參與本研究,平均年齡15.1歲,53%已存活五年以上。經由Giorgi (1985)的資料分析步驟而得的經驗現象為:腦瘤青少年因「病症干擾身心發展」,因而在學校的「班級歸屬感差」,在獲得「重要他人的支持」之後,能達到「自我認同」的發展任務。此一研究結果包含四個現象主題:「病症干擾身心發展」、「班級歸屬感差」、「重要他人的支持」與「自我認同」。 此研究結果可建議醫護人員:協助家庭與學校建全腦瘤青少年的支持系統,強化腦瘤青少年自我照顧能力與順利發展自我認同,以使腦瘤青少年獲得正向的學校適應經驗。同時本研究結果也建議教育單位重視腦瘤青少年的就學經驗,以作為日後改善為特殊學生所制定之個別教育計畫的參考依據。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to describe the phenomena of school adaptation among adolescent brain tumor survivors. Fifteen subjects were recruited using a purposive sampling method. Average age was 15.1 years old; 53% survived five years or more after initial diagnosis. Based on Giorgi,s phenomenological methods (Giorgi, 1985), a common structure that included the following four themes emerged: 1) brain tumor symptoms negatively affect bio-psychological development, 2) a low sense of belonging to a class, 3) support from significant others, and 4) self identity. The disease process interrupted normal physical and psychological development that resulted in a low sense of belonging to a class. However, the support they received from significant others helped them to regain their self-identity.The findings may help healthcare professionals and special education teachers understand the impact of brain tumors on adolescents in normal growth, development, and school adjustment. The establishment of an individual education plan and a strong support system will help adolescent brain tumor survivors regain their self care ability, self-identity, and with their adaptation to school environment. |
