中文摘要 | 「科諢」是戲曲搬演中不可或缺的一環,歷來論者言其義涵,大體以「戲曲中所穿插的滑稽動作與語言」加以概括,鮮少深究。筆者以為此一概括之說實不夠周延具體,也導致學者討論科諢相關論題時標準不一、選材含混的問題,故本文欲就戲曲「科諢」之義界重加探討。本文自「科」、「諢」名義考原入手,以探求其作為戲曲用語的原由,其次就明清曲家及晚近學者所論科諢義涵加以考察,辨其得失,最後分析科諢之特質,以建立戲曲中「科諢」與「非科諢」界限畫分之標準,從而廓清科諢之義界。筆者認為戲曲科諢具有三項特質,其一穿插性:外加性的穿插片段;其二滑稽性:非常態性的滑稽形式;其三表演性:非敘事性的表演成分。由此,科諢的義涵為:「科諢」是戲曲中基於表演時調劑場面與展現腳色技藝的考量,在戲劇情節之外所插入的演出片段。此一片段係以詼諧逗趣的語言與動作演出,透過一種出人意想、非常態的形式達到滑稽的效果。藉由對科諢義界具體完整的理解,進行有關科諢的研究時,相信將有助於辨析戲曲中「科諢」與「非科諢」的成分,從而選擇適當的材料,獲致具體可信的成果。 |
英文摘要 | Buffoonery is an inseparable part of Chinese drama. Scholars mostly define it as “the funny actions and language used throughout the drama” and rarely discuss it further more. Such definition, however, for buffoonery isn’t complete. Therefore, this article explores more thoroughly into the meaning and redefinition. The writer sees that the only way to clarify Buffoonery’s definition is to work out the borderline of buffoonery and non-buffoonery. As to the understanding of buffoonery’s characteristics, it is the basis of how to draw the line of buffoonery’s definition. Buffoonery has three characteristics: one is underplot, a part that is added but doesn’t affect the drama even if it’s deleted, the second is comicality, the atypical humor drama doesn’t usually show, and the third is performance, non-narrative performance. According to the three characteristics, the author defines buffoonery as additional parts aside of the drama’s storyline that work to enliven the performance and reveal the skills of the characters. The parts are acted through humorous language and actions, and gain comical effects in an unexpected way. |
