中文摘要 | 目前用以分析號誌化路口容量之方法論主要依據飽和流率的傳統觀念,但最近臺灣與美國的現場資料顯示,此觀念與實際的停等車疏解行為常有不符之處,導致容量分析時有顯著的誤差。2001年臺灣地區公路容量手冊(HCM)第十三章已經指出此一問題,但尚未提出一完整的替代方法。為改善此狀況,本研究利用市區號誌化路口的現場資料,以評估及討論臺灣HCM第十三章所描述方法須改進之處,並建立不同車道容量的估計式。本研究主要針對無機車干擾之直行與無衝突左轉快車道停等車疏解特性進行調查,結果發現臺灣HCM的方法需要大幅修改,而不同類型車道之容量可以合理、可靠地利用一些簡單的迴歸式來估計。 |
英文摘要 | Current methodologies for capacity analysis of signalized intersections are mostly based on the traditional concept of saturation flow rate. Recent filed data collected in Taiwan and the United States, however, show that this concept often misrepresents the actual queue discharge behavior and thus can lead to significant errors in capacity analysis. Chapter 13 of the 2001 Taiwan Area Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) has recognized this problem, but it does not provide a well-developed alternative. To bridge this gap, this study uses data collected at signalized urban intersections to determine how the methodology described in Chapter 13 of the Taiwan HCM can be improved. It also uses the field data to develop models that are useful for estimating the capacities of various types of lances. This study focuses on the investigation of the queue discharge characteristics of straight-through lanes and protected left-turn lanes that are not used by motorcycles. The field data show that the HCM methodology requires major revisions. They also show that simple regression models can be developed and used to obtain reasonably reliable capacity estimates for various types of lanes. |
