中文摘要 | 模具的應用在產業中佔有重要的地位,其使用壽命的延長往往是提昇競爭力之重要因素。藉由模具表面的改質,能具明顯效益而強化模具壽命,故探討具效益之模具表面強化方法,是模具領域中重要之研究課題。 本研究係採用目前業界使用最多之DC53模具鋼為研究對象,實驗分成素材和處理材兩個部分,素材為施以放電加工,處理材則於放電加工後之素材再個別進行PVD披覆氮化鈦鍍膜、滲硫氮化與真空熱處理三種強化處理。分別對素材與處理材所得之不同組織與性質,檢測其機械性質,並進行沖蝕與磨耗實驗。利用OM、SEM等儀器進行結構與顯微分析,以了解強化處理前後變質層與強化層的顯微結構變化,並分析沖蝕與磨耗試驗結果,比較其表面改質強化前後所造成之影響,以判定最具效益的壽命改善技術。 |
英文摘要 | The mold plays an important role on production during the development of industrial technique. Owing to the globally intense competition, the selection of longer life cycle mold is the key point to gain the advantages on production. Surface treatment has the efficient effect to strengthen the productivity of mold. Hence, the investigation of ideal surface treatment processes is the main topic on mold research. This widely used DC-53 mold steel, which was electrical discharge machined (EDM) and with surface treatment, is under investigated in this study. This experiment takes EDMed DC-53 mold steel as the substrate. The substrate with coating of titanium nitride (TiN) by physical vapor deposition (PVD), sulphonitriding and vacuum heat treatment separately are as treated specimens. Various microstructure and mechanical property can be obtained and measured by the processes above. After a series of erosion wear test on erosion machines, optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were applied to analyze the microstructure and erosion properties attained and to evaluate the effect of various surface treatments on mold steel. The surfaced treatment processes are recommended as the effective method for improving the mechanical property of mold steel. The results could be referred to optimize the selection of mold steel with surface treatment after EDM. |
