中文摘要 | 本研究旨在探討"鋸-乾-剖"加工方法(Saw-Dry-Rip Process, SDR)是 否可有效降低摩鹿加合歡製品之翹曲程度,藉以提高其利用價值。供試樹種為台 灣東部產約17年生之摩鹿加合歡。試材規格為5X10X192cm 割材。試驗設計有四: 1.CC=傳統製材,傳統窯乾;2.CH=傳統製材,高溫窯乾;3.SC=連續製材,傳統 窯乾;4.SH=連續製材,高溫窯乾。研究結果顯示:SDR加工方法,不論採行高溫 或傳統窯乾,均有降低 5X10cm摩鹿加合歡發生翹曲之功效。高溫乾燥除對摩鹿加 合歡之強度性質無影響外,並可節省能源33%以上,縮短乾燥時間74%以上。SDR加 工方法可提高零翹曲製品之收率,並對抑製駝背翹具有特殊功效。 |
英文摘要 | The objective of this research was to evaluate the efficiency of the SDR process in reducing warps of 5 X 10cm Albizzia falcataria dimensions. Forty-six sample bolts, 192cm in length, 32.2cm (average) in diameter, cut from eastern Taiwan, wre used for this study. The study design was a 2 by 2 factorial using combinations of two sawing methods (conventional-sawing and live-sawing) and two drying methods (conventional-drying and high-temperature drying). The treatment combinations were: (A) CC=Conventional sawing/conventional drying (control). (B) CH=Conventional sawing/high-temperature drying. (C) SC=SDR live sawing/conventional drying. (D) SH=SDR live sawing/high-temperature drying. The data show that for Albizzia falcataria: 1.Each treatment (SC, SH, CH) results in reduced warps as compared with the control (CC) treatment (Table 4). 2.Live-sawing, whether with conventional or high-temperature drying, produces straighter 5 X 10cm dimensions than conventional-sawing. 3.The SC treatment reduces crooks more than 92 percent, and SH results in 100 percent reduction in crook, as compared with the control. Live-sawing is a major factor in the reduction of crook (Table 4). 4.SDR process can increase the recovery of zero-warp dimensions. The volume yields of 5 X 10cm zero warp dry dimensions are: CC 6.6 percent, CH 28.48 percent, SC 37.89 percent, and SH 64.29 percent (Table 8). 5.High-temperature drying can reduce both drying time and power consumptions. The CH and SH treatments reduce drying time more than 33 percent, and save 74 percent of power consumptions, as compared with the treatments CC and SC (Table 8). 6.The CH treatment shows significantly (0.05 level) higher strength values in compression parallel to grain and hardness on the end surface, as compared with the control group. As shown in Table 7, however, there is no significant difference among the treatments in overall strength properties. High-temperature drying of Albizzia falcataria does not affect its strengths. 7.The combination of live-sawing and high-temperature drying is a economical and promising way of utilizing the warp-prone young-growth Albizzia falcataria wood. |
