英文摘要 | A numerical scheme was developed to solve the unsteady 3D Navier-Stokes equations with the exact free surface boundary conditions for simulating the interaction of solitary waves and a submerged 3D breakwater. The 2D finite-analytic method was extended to discretize the 3D Navier-Stokes equations and the 2D marker-and-cell (MAC) method was extended to treat the 3D free surfaces. A piston-type wave generator was incorporated in the computational domain to generate the desired incident waves. The accuracy of the numerical model was verified by comparing the numerical results of water surface elevations as waves propagate over a submerged trapezoidal breakwater with the experimental data. As the 3D numerical computation requires a huge memory and a long computational time, the computation was carried out on a PC-cluster established by connecting ten personal computers. Our numerical results show that as a solitary wave propagates over a 3D submerged breakwater, the wave crest over the breakwater undergoes a phase lag compared with that near the side walls and vortices are generated at the four bottom corners and the upstream and downstream edges of the breakwater. |
