中文摘要 | 由花蓮、台北、台中、雲林、嘉義、高雄、屏東及台東等地所蒐集的台南白玉米族群之種子,於秋作在台中霧峰農業試驗所農場試驗田繁殖後代,每一族群逢機取樣400株,每株取一粒種子,每一族群各取400粒達生理成熟期且充實飽滿之種子,測定其籽粒重及果皮性狀。結果顯示:八個不同地區台南白族群間其籽粒重、發芽面果皮厚度、非發芽面果皮厚度、平均果皮厚度和發芽面與非發芽面果皮厚度之差值等五個性狀均達極顯著差異。就平均值而言,籽粒重以台北族群最重,最輕為花蓮族群。發芽面果皮厚度,以高雄族群最厚,最薄者為花蓮族群。非發芽面果皮厚度,以高雄族群最厚,最薄者為台東族群。果皮含量以雲林、屏東及台東三地區最少,最高者為高雄族群。平均果皮厚度以台東族群最薄,最厚者為高雄族群。一般發芽面果皮厚度呈現較非發芽面果皮為薄,發芽面與非發芽面果皮厚度之差值,以台東族群差異最小,差值最大者台北族群。不同地區台南白籽粒重和果皮性狀之頻度分布與族群統計介量也有所差異。顯然,由於環境差異或有意無意留種的結果,已使台南白品種分化並形成不同生態型。就籽粒重與果皮性狀間之相關分析,顯示發芽面果皮厚度與非發芽面、平均果皮厚度之間,及平均果皮厚度與非發芽面、發芽面減去非發芽面果皮厚度之差值間其相關均呈極顯著正相關。 |
英文摘要 | Tainan-White (TNW) is a native maize population and has been cultivated for over 90 years in Taiwan. TNW has been conventionally utilized as green corn. Seed from eight TNW populations collected from Hualien, Taipei, Taichung, Yunlin, Chiayi, Kaohsiung, Pingtung and Taitung were planted at Wufeng to study the pericarp characters. The results showed significant differences in kerenl weight, germinal surface thickness, abgerminal surface thickness, average thickness, difference of germinal minus abgerminal thickness among the eight TNW maize populations. The Taipei population has larger kernel weight, and the Hualin population has smaller kernel weight. The Kaoshiung and Taipei populations has thicker pericarp, and those from Hualien and Taitung have thiner pericarp. The Kaoshiung population has hihgest pericarp contents, and the populations form Yunlin, Pingtung and Taitung contain lower proportion. These results indicated that the eight TNW maize populations have already differentiated in the genetic component of the pericarp characters. Phenotypic correlation between germinal surface thickness and abgerminal surface thickness, average thickness of the pericarp were positive, and highly significant. Thus, the germinal surface thickness can be used as selection parameter for pericarp thickness improvement in the green corn. |
