中文摘要 | 目的:探討精神科護理人員工作壓力與情緒智力對其健康生活品質之影響。 方法:以臺灣東部三家榮民醫院精神科住院病房護理人員為研究對象,使用基本人口學資料、WLELS情緒智力量表、NWSS護理職場壓力量表、SF-36健康相關生活品質量表衡量其情緒智力、工作壓力及健康狀況進行統計分析。 結果:本研究總共發放 176份問卷,回收 173份,剔除填答不完全等無效問卷 24份,總計有效回收問卷 149份。精神科護理人員工作壓力與健康(路徑係數 =-.27, p<.05)呈顯著負相關(路徑係數 =-.27, p<.05),支持原始假說 H1(精神科護理人員工作壓力與健康呈顯著負向影響關係);情緒智力與工作壓力(路徑係數 =-.21, p<.05)呈顯著負相關,支持原始假說 H2(精神科護理人員情緒智力與工作壓力呈顯著負向影響關係);情緒智力與健康(路徑係數 =.33, p<.01)呈顯著正相關,支持原始假說 H3(精神科護理人員情緒智力與健康呈顯著正向影響關係)。 結論:研究結果應能提供醫院管理階層、政府衛生行政主管機關及教育單位於相關議題之參考。 |
英文摘要 | OBJECTIVES:This study investigated the impact of work stress and emotional intelligence on the health of mental health nurses. METHODS: Mental health nurses from three mental health veterans’ hospitals in east Taiwan were enrolled. Structured questionnaires were used, including Wong and Law’s Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), Nurses Work Stress Scale (NWSS), and Health Survey Short-Form (SF-36) to evaluate subjects’ emotional intelligence, work stress, and health status, respectively. RESULTS: Overall, 173 of 176 delivered questionnaires were collected; 149 were valid questionnaires and 24 deemed invalid due to being incomplete. Study results demonstrated that work stress was negatively associated with the health status of mental health nurses (path coefficient=-.27, p<.05), emotional intelligence was negatively associated with the work stress of mental health nurses (path coefficient=-.21, p<.05), and emotional intelligence was positively associated with the health of mental health nurses (path coefficient=.33, p<.01). CONCLUSIONS: Results of the present study may serve as a reference for managers of hospitals and other health and educational institutions to improve the health and wellbeing of mental health nurses. |
