中文摘要 | 母娘崇拜是晚近臺灣民間宗教信仰的大事,光復前臺灣的宗教文獻,罕有這方面的紀錄。民國三十八年,母娘信仰突然出現在花蓮縣吉安鄉,次年,信徒分裂成慈惠堂瑤池金母與勝安宮王母娘娘兩系統,發展極為迅速。民國五○年代已開始傳到彰化,民國六○年代、七○年代是建廟的高峰期。彰化婦女熱心參與,慈惠堂女性堂主佔四成以上,王母娘娘廟的女住持、乩花到處可見,女信徒對信仰向心力很強。本文從田野調查實例,分析母娘信仰中「女性掌舵」的原因,並觀察鄉間靈媒角色的轉換、受苦的婦女尋求慰藉的心路歷程,以及紀錄女信徒對母娘信仰活動之參與情況。 |
英文摘要 | Mother Goddess worship is an important event occurred in recent religious history of Taiwan. There is rare records or talks about Mother Goddess before the end of World War II. Until 1949, worship of Mother Goddess appeared suddenly in Chian Hsiang, Hualien County. The next year the worshipers split into two groups; namely “Yaochihchin Mother” of Tzuhui temple and “Wangmu Mother” of Shengan shrine. They were spread rapidly like wild fire at that time. They were began to spread to Changhua in 1960. The women at Changhua were very enthusiastic about the participation of temple establishment. It reached a climax in 1970 and 1980. More than forty percent of Tzuhui temple executives are women. Women as divine messenger and executives of “Wangmu Mother” of Shengan shrine were very common. Women worshipers have very strong centripetal force. This article is from my field study “Study of Mother Goddess worship by Changhua women”. It analysis the following items. Women worshipers been at the helm of Mother Goddess worship - Survey the role of divine messenger - The progress of suffer women appeal for comfort. - Record the involvement of Mother Goddess worship by women worshipers. |
