中文摘要 | 本論文為南投縣中寮鄉福盛村大坑層(早中新世)產軟體動物化石報告的一部分;前者主要為腹足類,已報告於本刊第三十六號(2004)。後者:即本論文則報告同一地方及地層產出之雙殼類。本地方的研究材料計有雙殼類37種,其中25種為化石種,12種為現生種,各佔百分比67.5%及32.4%,合於萊葉爾氏(Ch. Lyell, 1829)地層分類,為早中新世。其古生態的狀況則為淺海20至60公尺,底質則為泥砂質海底。 |
英文摘要 | The present report describes 37 species of bivalave fossils sampled from the Takan Formation, Chungliao County, Nantou Prefecture, Taiwan. Among them 10 species are new, and they are listed as follows: Limposis fanyangi, n. sp. Discors wuhishengi, n. sp. Glycymeris jiuhyuanni, n. sp. Sanguinolaria chyishania, n. sp. Fimbria shyjyy, n. sp. Clementia maohu, n. sp. Vasticardium weijiangi, n. sp. Paphia (Paphia) tsengosheni, n. sp. Nemocardium (Keenaea)feineau, n. sp. Cryptomya (Venatomya) tachiu, n. sp. This faunal assemblage consists of 25 species of fossil forms and 12 species of living forms, where the respective ratios are 67.5% and 32.4% of the total number of species in the bivalve faunal assemblage collected. These numbers agree well with the early middle Miocene definition according to Lyell (1839). The paleoecological setting of the fauna is possibly shallow water (20-60 m) with muddy sand substratum. The 3 cold water species and a few brackish and reefal forms found in the faunal assemblage possibly were carried in by strong currents. |
