中文摘要 | 一九九九年開始實施的高中地理新課程,在高三上學期部分有百分之六十的內容是和地理資訊(Geographic Information)有關,這是地理教育改革的一項創舉。地理資訊教育的落實需要多項因素的配合,而教師的專業能力是影響教學成敗的關鍵因素。本研究配合地理資訊應用案範例的研發計畫,探討高中地理老師的地理資訊能力及配套方案。研究工作採取觀察及行動研究法,透過實際操作過程,探討參與的高中老師在GIS應用上的能力及障礙。研究成果顯示空間觀點的強弱是影響教師使用GIS情形的首要因素,電腦操作能力及資料問題也有影響。本研究建議GIS教育推廣應注重基本地理知識及概念的培養,特別是空間觀點的強化,如此當有助於GIS教育的向下紮根。 |
英文摘要 | Under the new curriculum of geography implemented in 1999, 60% of material taught in the fall semester of the twelfth grade is related to geographic information science. This new curriculum is a rare initiation in geographic education around the world. A successful implementation of this program requires a well support from various factors while teachers' professional competence play the key role. In accordance with an ongoing project of developing GIS teaching models, this research explores teachers' abilities and supplementary measures in teaching GIS. We adopt the methodology of observation and action research to explore the problems and obstacles teachers face when using GIS. The result indicates that the awareness of spatial perspective is the main factor. Lack of computer ability and geographic data also influence the application. We suggest that GIS dissemination should emphasize more on nurturing basic geographic knowledge and concept, especially on nurturing spatia1 perspectives. |
