| 英文摘要 | In order to meet the rising energy demand, a diverse option of technology is necessary. Among all possible technologies, biotechnology is considered as an important role in the future energy development. Furthermore, genetic engineering is taken as the new way to developing bio-fuel by many countries, such as European Union, U.S. and Australia. This article is aimed to discuss and evaluate the prospects of bio-ethanol and bio-diesel by biotechnology, by reviewing the assessment reports prospects of bio-ethanol and bio-diesel by biotechnology, by reviewing the assessment reports by E.U, project reports by DOE of U.S and some another literature. The future effort of developing bio-ethanol should focus on cellulose-based ethanol, while the development of bio-diesel should focus on utilizing algae or other microorganism. The research and development should be based on the fundamental scientific research, and apply biotechnology to produce mass and cost-efficient bio-ethanol and bio-diesel. |
