中文摘要 | 電信服務提供者內部現有的各套維運支援系統(Operations Support Systems, OSS)普遍存在有程式語言不一、系統架構及平臺互異、系統間訊息交換不易等問題,造成既有系統維運成本偏高、後續系統功能擴充不易、新系統引進介接困難等難題。因此國際電信管理組織(TeleManagement Forum, TFM)集合相關國際電信專家研擬了NGOSS(New Operations Support Systems)規範,其中NGOSS技術中立架構(Technology Neutral Architecture, TNA)規範了設計與開發之準則,本文即針對該規範之精神作說明,並將準則內容加以解釋與應用。 |
英文摘要 | To achieve competitive advantage, a carrier must be able to provide a wide range of products and services at lower costs. Large carriers are faced with the need to extend their current Operations Support Systems (OSS) solutions to support the evolution of next generation services. The primary challenge for these carriers is evolving the existing OSS solutions to provide these new services. In fact, a successful OSS solution must provide and support new services and delivery channels, as seamless integration with new and legacy solutions. Evolving the OSS to become “New Generation OSS” (NGOSS)involves a paradigm shift in which we can view integration solutions. The NGOSS Technology Neutral Architecture (TNA) provides the necessary structural underpinnings and building constructs to support the analysis, design, implementation and deployment of open distributed computing solutions. Using the NGOSS Architecture and the vehicle of the NGOSS contract it now becomes possible to move away from the traditional focus on providing interface definitions and begin offering more of an end-to-end view of the Lifecycle to include visibility, traceability and linkage. It enables the interests of the various stakeholders to be protected by representing the evolution of their interests as the solution progresses from the definition of the business concerns, through the mapping to a particular architecture and implementation and on to deployment. Issues of this article cover the essential concepts of TNA, building architecture based on TNA solution, and the possible implementation of OSS services. At last we conclude with some forward-looking issues. |
