中文摘要 | 從過去經驗顯示,臺灣中小企業具有組織靈活、經營富彈性、生命力旺盛及堅強韌性的特質,加上創業者本身克勤克儉、吃苦耐勞的創業精神,因此在臺灣經濟發展史上,長久以來一直扮演重要的角色,如今在邁入全球化資訊科技、知識經濟年時代,中小企業的經營將面臨異於往常更嚴酷的挑戰,除原有的傳統精神競爭優勢將逐漸消失外,整體產業結構環境也發生重大變革;因此,我國中小企業要能維繫往昔在經濟上所推有的地位,首先必須強化、建構企業本身獨特經營模式(business model)之核心競爭力,以應付未來更複雜與瞬息萬變之多元伳考驗。 在研究設計上,本研究首先藉由文獻分析,瞭解以往學者所探討之有關中小企業相關主題並予以比較,而後再藉由所回收之109份有效問卷,進一步探討企業特徵、創業精神與組織績效之關係。 本研究針業近年來優秀的中小企業廠商進行研究分析,發現:在企特徵中,非家族企業、具有國際化經驗者其創業精神(創新能力、內部自治性、積極競爭能力)優於家族企業、未具國際化經驗者;而在產業類別方面,服務業的內部自治性高於製造業;至於企業規模方面,企業規模較小的中小企業,其創新能力及積極競爭高於大規模的企業,而大規模的企業在內部自治程度上則優於小規模的企業。同時,企業創業精神業組織績效呈現正向影響,即企業創業精神愈高,其組織績效愈佳。 |
英文摘要 | As shown in the past, the small/medium business (here after referred to as “the SMB”) in Taiwan is characterized by organization and operational flexibility, vitality and tenacity. Compounded with the founder’s hardworking and thrifty entreopreneurship, the SMB has long been playing a major role in the history of economic development in Taiwan. However, challenges facing the SMB have become extraordinarily harsh as globalization, information technology, and knowledge economy start to predominate. What made it competitive in the past is losing out and the overall industry structure has dramatically changed. Therefore, to carry forward the strengths and to survive complex and changing challenges in the future, the SMB in Taiwan must enhance core competency through building up is unique business model. In this study, we, through a literature review, analyze and make a comparison of issues relevant to the SMB formerly examined by other researchers. We further explore the relationships among enterprise characteristics, entrepreneurship, and organizational performance. Our study finds that non-family enterprises with global business possess greater entrepreneurship (innovativeness, internal autonomy and competitive aggressiveness) than family enterprises without global business. Moreover, there is better internal autonomy in the service industry than in the manufacturing industry; more innovativeness and competitive aggressiveness in smaller enterprises than in larger enterprises and better internal autonomy in larger enterprises than in smaller enterprises. Entrepreneurship is also found to be positively correlated with organizational performance: in other words, the greater the entrepreneurship, the better the organization performs. |
