| 英文摘要 | For Thomas Aquinas, human being is the link between the material universe and the spiritual world. This is the reason for the discussion on the relation between body and soul. On the other hand, he uses the notions of “person” and of “image of God” to stress the spiritual nature of human being. Person refers to what is the most perfect, the noblest in beings, it can be used to predicate God. As man is an image of God, it can also be used to predicate human being, whereby lies the dignity of man The dignity of human person consists in his end and his capacities. Man is made to return to God. This is manifested in two ways, one is morality and the other is the capacity to transcend oneself. Human intellect is a capacity for knowing God and the human will is the capacity for summi boni. This is the foundation of the dignity of the human person. |
