中文摘要 | 本研究以Lagrangian-Eulerian方法模擬濾籃式離心機之濾餅成長與濾速衰減。粒子在濾籃中之運動係基於牛頓第二運動定律及干擾沉降理論以進行分析;故在不同操作條件下之粒子濃度分布的變化即可被模擬與討論。粒子的沉降效應會造成非均勻的濾餅;也就是較多的大粒子會存在濾餅的底部,而較多的小粒子則接近濾餅頂部。提升轉遠會導致濾餅成長較為迅速但是更不均勻。濾餅的平均過濾比阻可以根據Kozeny-Carman方程式來估計,故濾速亦可依據過濾基本式計。由於會產生較大的過濾壓差,轉速的增加會導致濾速的增加。在本研究中,滑石粉被作為粒子樣品進行離心過濾實驗,模擬所得到的濾餅粒徑分布、平均過濾比阻及過濾速度與實驗數據相當吻合。 |
英文摘要 | Cake formation and filtration flux in a centrifugal filter basket are simulated using a Lagrangian-Eulerian model. The particle migration the filter basket is analyzed based on the Newtons’ second law of motion and the hindered settling theory. The variations of particle concentration profiles in the filter basket under various rotating speeds are then simulated and discussed. The sedimentation effect of particles may result in a heterogeneous filter cake, i.e., more larger particles exist near the cake bottom while more smaller ones near the cake surface. An increase in rotating speed causes the filter cake to grow quicker and to be more heterogeneous. Based on the Kozeny-Carman equation, the average specific filtration resistance of cake can be evaluated, and the filtration flux can then be calculated by the basic filtration theory. The filtration flux increases with increasing rotating speed due to higher filtration pressure. Centrifugal filtration experiments are carried out using a particulate sample, Talc. The simulated results of particle size distribution in cake, the average specific filtration resistance of cake and the filtration flux agree very well with the experimental data. |
