中文摘要 | 隨著電腦動畫的普及,人們對於臉部表情動作的需求,似乎有愈來愈被重視的程度。而臉部表情動作之研究發展,其實早在100年前已開始,但真正將臉部表情動作被應用於電腦技術上的發展,卻是在最近25年間,不斷持續在改進當中。 舉凡臉部表情動作,其應用領域相當多元,如娛樂、廣告、教育訓練、遊戲、虛擬主播、視訊會議,都是臉部表情在電腦動畫中可應用之範圍。而對於臉部表情動作如此細微變化之模擬,卻仍是電腦動畫中較困難之一環。關於當前臉部表情動作技術的在電腦上之開發,雖已有相當多之研究。但也因其使用目的之不同,對於資料之共享與轉換性,較難定義一套共通之標準。 本研究主要在建立一套臉部表情動作圖譜,讓廣大之動漫畫迷,有心想塑造角色人物並需要人物表情動作的設計師們,不需透過複雜之電腦操作以及購買昂貴之軟硬體設備,直接透過簡易的臉部表情資料庫進行檢索,找尋到他們理想之表情動作。而這樣的表情圖譜也藉由簡化的比例轉換方式標準,讓使用者將查詢到之表情資料重複套用於不同之臉部造形。 |
英文摘要 | As computer animation is becoming more and more common, more emphasis has been given to the requirements of facial animation. In fact, the study of facial animation in coordination with gestures began to develop some 100 years ago. However, the actual application of the facial animation with the computer has been improving ceaselessly in the past 25 years. Concerning the facial animation, its applications are rather diversified. For example in entertainment, advertisements, educational training, games, virtual presenter, teleconferencing, etc are all terrains where computer animation can be applied. Concerning facial animation, which is subtle and delicate, it is a more complicated facet in computer animation. Concerning the current development in computerization of facial animation, although there are many studies, including the building of much software and the production of many articles, due to the difference in purposes, there is a lack of interchangeability and sharing of the data because of the lack of a common standard. This research intends to build up a facial animation bank to allow the general animation fans and the designers that intend to create their own character with the facial expressions they want, with out going through complicated computer operation and buying high priced hardware. They can get the facial animation they want through an easy and user-friendly manner, to allow the users to apply the ideal facial animation they found form the databank. Moreover, this facial animation databank employs a simple ratio conversion, to allow the users search for the facial expression information they need and re-apply onto characters with different facial shapes. |
