中文摘要 | 本研究探應的主題是利用網際網路輔助英文作文教學的優、缺點,研究目標有二,首先是調查外文系學生對運用電腦網路來輔助英文作文教學之態度,其次是依據學生的反應提出可行的教學參考原則與研究建議。一個原建制的英文作文班級,24位外文系學生參與一學期的教學及研究,研究期間同學配合上課,運用區域電腦網路進行同儕評稿及電子郵件傳送活動。學期末學生書寫的感想合上課,運用區域電網路進行同儕評橋及電子郵件傳送活動。學期末學生書寫的感想文稿、訪談內容、及電子郵件蒐集作本研究之資料,經分析、歸類,結果發現學生的學習心路歷程,是由學期初的驚恐,到期末的悅納,他們認為電腦網路的長處是:可以增強學習者的電腦素養、幫助改善英文寫作能力,教室氣氛忙碌卻活潑快樂等,而有些同學反應不太能接納電腦、同儕不夠認真、及機械故障等問題;本研究後提出教學進意見及深入研究之可能方向。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of the paper is to describe an application of networked computers to a college English composition course in Taiwan and to report the potential benefits and drawbacks of implementing the technique to support English writing instruction. An intact English composition class with twenty-four (24) foreign language majors participated in the study. A local networked computer system was incorporated into the course for one semester. At the end of the semester, the students; reflection papers, interview data, and e-mails were collected for data analysis. The results show that the students had experienced form being apprehensive to being appreciative. They perceived that the technique was novel, miraculous, interesting, convenient, exciting for them, helpful for improving English writing, beneficial for sharpening their communicative abilities, and useful for enhancing their computer literacy. The drawbacks were their uneasiness with computers, peers’ indifference, and mechanical problems. Recommendations for further applications and studies are suggested at the end of the report. |
