中文摘要 | 本研究透過文獻探討、晤談、參觀、訪問、文件分析等方式,對一位華人家長在美加州實施在家教柮情形進行個案研究。本研究之主要目的有三:(1)探究個案對於教育和在家教育的觀點;(2)探究個案在美國加州實施在家教育的內容和過程;(3)探究在美國加州實施在家教育的優勢的困境。 研究結果顯示:第一、個案展現的教育理念包含:學習基督的精神、孩子是會學習和可教導的、閱讀是學習的基礎、教育孩子的責任是家庭全體的、培養終身學習的能力是必要的、家長也要不斷學習。個案對於在家教育的觀點則包含:快樂的教與學、重視學習不同的學習方式、教學生活化與多元化、教學效果佳、教學資源豐富、增進親子關係等。第二、在美加州實施在家教育,長在遵守法規的前題下,可以採用豐富的教學內容、多元的教學方法、彈性的教學時間和教學場所、以及多元的評量方式進行教學。第三、在美國加州實施在家教育的優勢包含:開放的社會風氣、有法令規範、符合學生需求、社會資源豐富、實施成效佳有鼓勵作用;而實施在家教育的限制則包含:社會、家庭、家長能力和政府四方面因素。 研究結果一方面對於華人家長在美國實施在家教育的情況有更深入的了解,另一方面也提供國人對於在家教育有更深入的了解,另一方面也提供國人對於在家教育有更深一層認識,在未來教育改革策略上能有不同的思考面向。 |
英文摘要 | The major purpose of this study is to explore how a Chinese parent implements home schooling in California, American. Interviews, observations, home visiting, and document analysis methods have been used to collect information. The conclusion of this study includes the following: first, the subject views home schooling as that home schooling can make teaching and learning happier, concerns children's multiple learning styles, presents livable and multiples instructions, implements the efficient teaching and learning, has enrichment teaching resources, and can improve the relationship between parents and children. Second, the parent utilizes enrichment teaching contents, multiple teaching methods, flexible teaching time and place, and multiple assessments to educate their children. Third, California had advantages in implementing home schooling: having an open society, proper laws, rich social resources, and hence resulting efficient implementing results. The disadvantages include limited social, family, parents' abilities, and government elements. From the obervation, I suggest that parents, teachers, and the government can be more open-mind on home schooling can give the implementation of home schooling more supports in Taiwan. |
