| 英文摘要 | Compendium: Mei Cun-Wu, who lived in the end of the Ming Dynasty, experienced the change of the regime. When in 1653, he was forced to join the Qing regime. There is a fierce orphan consciousness in his poems. He was forced to leave his original "family", the Ming Dynasty, but he didn't want to belong to the new "family", the Qing Dynasty. Just like an orphan who has no one to depend on, he was always drifting entire his life. In his daily life as well as in his heart. Although hc had experienced so much suffering and defeat, he didn't choose death, and that sealed his fate. Every orphan has some strength to support their life and Mei Curt-Wu was no exception. The strength inside his heart is the source of creation for his poems. And on his deathbed, he asked his family to dress him like a monk and inscribe on his grave stone, "The Grave of A Poet- Mei Curt-Wu." This not only represents his own choice of identity, but also reprcscnts thc deep sadness of being an orphan in that age. |
