中文摘要 | 宜蘭平原由於地理位置與地形之故,深受季風環流的影響,而其快速沉降的大地構造背景,提供了解析晚全新世古氣候與古環境資料的契機。根據武淵井的孢粉分析結果,藉由其中蕨類孢子含量、花粉濃度及磁感率值的變化,指示著宜蘭地區在過去三千五百年中曾有三次環境較為濕潤的時期,分別發生在大約3200-3100年前、2000-1300年前及900-700(?)年前,而由花粉濃度的資料來看,距今1300-900年前的森林繁茂時期極可能對應於歐洲及中國大陸的中世紀暖期。 季風是今日控制臺灣天氣的主宰,過去亦然,然而季風引起的環境效應各地不同。在冬季季風較為強盛的時期,由於大陸冷高壓增強,使得臺灣及中國大陸普遍出現冷乾的氣候型態,可是在宜蘭地區,冬季季風的增強將使這裡的降雨量增加、雨期延長,而在地層中留下環境較為冷濕的紀錄。因此,在武淵井的分析結果中所得到的環境濕潤紀錄,極可能標示著過去冬季季風較為強盛的時期。本文的結論不僅與過去臺灣高山湖泊研究所得到的氣候變化趨勢一致,也可與大陸地區根據古籍記載所顯示的自然環境變化,以及湖面消長的結果相對應,印證宜蘭地區的環境乾濕變化與季風環流的盛衰具有密切的關連性。 |
英文摘要 | The Ilan Plain, located in northeastern Taiwan, experienced recognizable late Holocene climate and environmental changes. According to the variance of fern spore percentages, arboreal pollen concentrations, and magnetic susceptibility from Wuyuan core, wetter periods in Ilan region probably prevailed around 3200 to 3100 yr B.P., 2000 to 1300 yr B.P., and after 900 yr B.P., respectively. The interval of Medieval Warm Period was also indicated by the prosperity of arboreal elements based on pollen concentrations around 1300 to 900 yr B.P. Even though the climate usually became cooler and drier in Taiwan and Mainland China during the strengthening of winter monsoon, it had more precipitation and longer rainy season in Ilan region. The wetter periods interpreted from the pollen record of the Ilan region probably indicated the strengthening of a winter monsoon system. The climate trends appeared in this study are generally consistent with what of the alpine lakes of Taiwan based on proxy of pollen and geochemistry. It is also fairly consistent in view of evidence from archives and lake level changes in Mainland China. All of these reveal that the humidity record inferred from pollen data of Ilan Plain could provide insight into monsoon variations during the last several millennia. |
