英文摘要 | Alvin Toffler has been the best known and most influential exponent of Futurology. Today the roaring current of change had overturned institutions and shifted our values. He provides a new theory of social adaptation, along with strategies for coping with rapid change; inevitably many of his insights involve the roles of education in the adaptive process. He believes the acceleration of change in our time in an elemental force. This accelerative thrust has personal and psychological, as well as sociological, consequence. Unless man quickly learns to control the rate of change, we are doomed to a massive adaptational breakdown. Given futher acceleration, we can conclude that knowledge will grow increasingly perishable. Maybe today's “fact” becomes tomorrow's “misinformation”. Changeable society stressed the importance of learning efficiency. Tomorrow's schools must therefore teach not merely data, but ways to manipulate it, Students must learn how to discard old ideas, how and when to replace them. They must, in short, learn how to learn. The new education must teach the individual how to reclassify information, how to evaluate its veracity, how to look at problems form a new direvtion-how to teach himself. |
