英文摘要 | The aim of the article is to work out the connection between liberation theology and liberation pedagogy in Latin America. The first part deals with the Latin American background and the method of liberation theology. It shows that a line of development and transformation of liberation theology went through the four Latin American Bishops conferences in Medellin (1968), Puebla (1979), San Domingo (1992) and lastly the Synod of American (1997). The second part focuses on the liberation of pedagogy initiated by Paulo Freire. The process starts with the consciousness of being oppressed, then it involves the empowerment of human rights through the clarification of codification and detoxification, as well as the knowledge of denouncing and announcing. What is important is to find out that what Paulo Freire teachers is the result of his own life experience. Lastly, “doing” liberation theology and “acting” liberation pedagogy are different accents of the same process of liberation in Latin America. They go hand-in-hand in promoting the movement of liberation in the Third World. |
