中文摘要 | 位於婆羅州的砂拉越與沙巴,原為英國的直殖民地,於1963年9月加入馬來西亞聯邦,遂有東馬與西馬的對立名稱。因地理位置的隔離,加上不同的發展背景與文化景,東馬與西馬是有些差異,德教會在東馬的發展有明顯的不同,只有紫系一支獨自發展,在組織聯誼上自成系統,雖然加了馬來西亞德教聯合總會,但也自組東馬德教聯誼年會,各閣之間的交流相當密切,成為東馬華人社會重要的宗教團體。東馬德教會在發上還是有不少的隱憂的,「神權」與「教權」如何進行完整性的協調與整合,是還有一大段的路要走。這或許就是傳統民間教派所共同面臨的挑戰,如何從舊有的文化環境蛻變而出,且能積地與代社會相結合,與其他新興宗教具有競爭的能量。東馬德教會是東南亞鸞堂系統的一支,但是在組織經營上已逐漸構出系統性的宗教形式,比其他鸞堂更有宣教的活力,在東馬宣教工委會的帶動下,更能快速發展。 |
英文摘要 | The Sarawak and Saba became in September,1963, part of Malaysia and together from the East Malaysia. According to local historical studies, Chinese immigrants came to this region a few hundred years ago. Nowadays, the Chinese people here no longer speak the language their ancestors spoke, because their custom and habits have been Malaysianzed. However, their obvious Chinese word character “Moral” (德教) is still preached by Divine Pen (扶鸞)even now. The majority of local Chinese people still worships Chinese gods such as Mazu(媽祖)and Kuankon(關公)just as their ancestors did. They believe in Chinese Taoism. The Moral Uplifting Society (德教會)has been spread out from Hong Kong though Thailand and Malaysia to the whole Southeast Asia since World WarⅡ and is now the biggest and the most important religion in the region, with the Purple Series (紫系)being its major section. In the East Malaysia the Society is facing the problem of either modernizing its religion or preserving its traditional folk worship. Anyway, the Society here has got a large progress in this regard, and has exerted powerful influence on the local society. It is the aim of this paper to enquire into the development of the Society in the Region. |
