中文摘要 | 放電加工過程中放電柱所引發的高溫,可將放電柱內的物質迅速離子化,部分的物質在放電終了時將沈積在加工表面。因此藉由簡單的放電加工設備,配合適當的放電加工條件,即可在加工表面產生放電合金化的改質效果。利用結合強度較低之假燒結材料做為電極,在放電的過程中將可由電極提供充分的表面改質成分,提升放電加工對表面改質強化的效果。 本論文乃是以假燒結材料做為電極,對低碳鋼(S15C)進行放電加工實驗,探討假燒結電極成分組成在不同的放電加工條件下,對加工表面産生的改質效果,以及對材料去除率、表層堆積率、電極消耗率等放電加工特性的影響。實驗中針對表面改質效果的探討將利用電子微探儀(EPMA)進行表面成分的定性與定量分析,以作為表面改質效果的評估。希望藉電極組成成分在放電加工過程中的轉移作用,在加工表面迅速且有效地産生改質強化的效果,以滿足工業上因應使用環境的不同對加工表面性能的需求。 |
英文摘要 | Electrical discharge machining (EDM) induces high temperature via ionization in the discharge column, so some of the element within discharge column can deposit on the machined zone at the end of discharge interval Therefore, the machined surface could achieve the surface modifications by electrical discharge alloying using EDM with appropriate machining conditions. If a semi-sintered electrode is used m EDM, the composition of the semi-sintered electrode will easily transfer and deposit on the machined surface to provide a sufficient constituents for surface modifications due to the lower bonding strength Thus, using the semi-sintered electrode will improve the strengthened and modified effects on the machined surface with EDM. The purpose of this study is to investigate the machining performances and surface modification on low carbon steel (S15C) using semi-sintered electrode in EDM process. The machining characteristics including material removal rate (MRR), surface deposit rate (SDR), electrode wear rate (EWR) are explored. In addition, the effects of semi-sintered electrode on surface modifications are also evaluated by electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) test. The aim of the investigation is to produce the modified surface via semi-sintered electrode in EDM. Since the composition of semi-sintered electrode will transfer on the machined surface more efficiently and effectively, it is a relatively easy process to form the surface modified layer. Therefore, the modified effects will satisfy the special demands of surface properties in industrial applications via semi-sintered electrode in EDM. |
