中文摘要 | 本研究是針對作者在高級寫作課裡採用「新聞札記寫作教學法」作一深入探討,審視的問題有:(1)應用的學理基礎;(2)學生的新聞札記寫作活動、教師回饋、師生討論、學生反映與評鑑;(3)教師本身對本教學法的評量等。研究發現學生在尋找寫作題目覺得較容易,也較喜歡收集寫作材料與訊息,同時相信較能通曉相關的新聞議題,字彙也有顯著增加。新聞札記寫作教學法強調學生寫作前,先閱讀自己覺得有趣或自己關心的新聞報導或論述,是一種閱讀與寫作整合的語言教學活動,學生確能在活動中,有較高的內在誘因與較低的學習焦慮,獲得英語文的素養與成長。 |
英文摘要 | This study aims to examine the implementation of news journal writing approach in the author's advanced writing class offered to the fourth-year English majors and minors in an EFL context in Taiwan. Brought under scrutiny are (1) the pedagogical rationale of the implementation; (2) the activities of the students' news journal writing, teacher's response to each entry, student-teacher conference, students' response and comments on the approach; and (3) teacher's own evaluation of the implementation. Findings show that the students have less difficulty looking for appropriate topics to write about, enjoy collating information and materials for their writings, believe that they have become more knowledgeable in specific fields and have enlarged their vocabulary pertaining to the related topics. The news journal approach, with the emphasis on students reading news columns and articles of great interest and concern to them has integrated reading and writing and become an integrated reading-writing process in which the students would learn better with higher intrinsic motivation and lower levels of apprehension in their language development. |
