中文摘要 | 教師批評是評鑑的方式之一,教師透過評鑑可以提供學生必要的回饋。由於教師是學生心目中的「重要他人」,教師批評對學生具有重大的意義。國內外相關的文獻顯示,學校環境與教師行為具有密切的關係。此外,場地學派也指出,個人行為深受其環境知覺的影響。然而,國小教師批評可能受到哪些學校環境因素的影響,仍有待進一步的研究。 基於此種認識,本研究乃針對國小教師批評與學校環境知覺的關係進行探討。具體而言,本研究的目的如下: 1.瞭解不同學校國小教師批評的現況。 2.探討與國小教師批評有關的學校環境因素。 3.分析國小教師批評與學校環境知覺的關係。 4.根據研究結果,針對與國小教師批評有關的學校環境因素,提出改進建議。 本研究以參與觀察、訪視晤談、焦點團體座談等方法蒐集質的資料,並根據質的資料發展問卷工具,對台灣地區70所國小的1356位國小教師,進行抽樣調查研究。 將所得資料進行分析、歸納,本研究發現,國小教師對學生的批評受到學校環境不同因素的影響,而與國小教師批評有關的學校環境因素並不侷限於學校的物理環境,尚且包括教師在校內所知覺的工作安排、行政措施與人際關係等。本研究根據研究結果進行討論,並對學校環境的改善提供建議,俾有助於教師批評品質的提升。 |
英文摘要 | Teacher criticism is a form of evaluation through which teachers provide their students with necessary feedback. Since teachers serve as "significant others" to their students, teacher criticism carries much weight in children's minds. A review of the literature indicates that the relationship of school environment to teacher behavior appears to be stable and strong. Lewin's field theory also suggests that the environment that one perceives is very likely to affect one's behavior. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear which aspects of school environment may affect teacher criticism in elementary schools. To bridge the knowledge gap, this study attempts to explore the relationship of teacher criticism to teachers' perceptions of school environment in our elementary schools. Participant observations, focus-group discussions, school visits and interviews were used to collect qualitative data, and questionnaire survey was employed to collect quantitative data from more than one thousand elementary schoolteachers. The findings of the study indicate that teacher criticism toward their students tends to be influenced by the multiple aspects of school environment. Many of such influences appear not to be limited to the physical conditions of the schools, but include teachers' perceptions of their work assignments, administrative routines, and their webs of human relationship in their schools. To enhance the quality of teacher criticism, the study also recommends strategies to improve school environment. |
