英文摘要 | There has been a fundamental and serious mistake in the study of Lao-Tzu's Tao. This mistake has caused many confusion and misinterpretations. Chun-Yi Tan's Lao-Tzu's six meanings of Tao is typical of making such a mistake. First, Tan might not recognize that the word ‘Tao’ denotes and only denotes something which was nebulous and unformed and existed before heaven and earth. Then, Tan confuses this Tao itself with its various characteristics and functions, and the mentioning function of the word ‘Tao’ with the predications of these characteristics and functions. Third, Tan confuses Lao-Tzu's Tao with the ways which mean as a general noun and some priciples. After clarifying these confusion and mistakes, I made some representation of Tan's concepts of Lao-Tzu's Tao and ways. |
