中文摘要 | 西元八世紀起,中於開元三大士善無畏、金剛智、不空相生入唐,及知名高僧一行、惠果等的推波助瀾下,吹起一股密教信仰的熱潮。而熾盛光佛也在此時隨著密教信仰的熱潮出現於中國。 回顧研究史,熾盛光佛作品問題的研究,在有關作品的整體情形、發展方式與脈絡,尚未見完整面貌。主要在於相關研究跨越的範圍極廣,從天文史、畫史、宗教史乃至政治史等。 先前的研究因範圍、重心與切入的角度不同而造成零散的認識狀態。行懸而未決的問題有:1.難以具體地描述相關圖像發展的脈絡;2.缺少推斷圖像起源、演變等問題答案的嘗試;3.以象徵形象方式來代表星體的繪畫起源語意模糊;4.熾盛光佛作品在中國的消長情形交代不清;5.作品分期方式定義模糊。 在此處,筆者放棄以往研究中所持的作品單源發生論,以存在兩種不同流派,但同時發展熾盛光佛的信仰,思考熾盛光佛信仰及作品,所存在的種種問題,寄望能夠在新的思考基礎上能對此特殊信仰的作品,有更深化且完整的認識。 |
英文摘要 | Once, in the middle age of China, Tejaprabha Buddha was a very popular Buddhism icon. The most specific character in Tejaprabha Buddha panting is the composition of space structure. Not only the unique structure makes this painting so distinguished, but also the constellations icon inside of the panting, which added new motifs into Chinese panting. However, Tejaprabha Buddha had been replaced it’s own regional function after thirteen-century, and the constellations icon solved into other paintings, it cause the Tejaprabha Buddha gradually declined and disappeared in China. Here, in this paper, author intended to prove that tow different space structures of Tejaprabha Buddha panting were based on the difference of two religion schools. Through the study of monk’s biographies, such as Amoghavaira the master of Esoteric Bddhism, proved that it’s really exist two different constellation beliefs among monks activities and these two different beliefs interactive with each other in a long time. According to the history documents, Emperor Xuan-zung, who was deeply related with the constellation beliefs, furthermore, the astronomy documents and the Buddhism sutras, also reveled that some of the western constellation was imported to China during this period, which showed that Emperor Xuan-zung would be very powerful supporter of Tejaprabha Buddha’s belief. All the evidences point out that the Buddhism constellation belief might be began during the period of Xuan-zung dynasty. Art history records tell us that Zhou-fang may possibly be the first artist who devoted to this type of painting. Also according to the records, refuge tide of war might the reason of separating into Si-chuan of Tejaprabha Buddha panting. Historical documents also reveled the population of constellations icon paintings and other related paintings. As this result Tejaprabha Buddha panting faced the competition form constellations icon paintings. And it’s own unique religion function also faced the challenge from other Buddhism ceremony 9Shui-lu Fa-hui), and been replaced it’s own function. With the above reasons, Tejaprabha Buddha panting and belief, gradually towering to its end. |
