中文摘要 | 本研究主要在了解臺灣四技大一學習英語學生的中介語言階段發展是否能夠將英語語調特質內化,達到改善英語語調與加強正確發音。本研究對象抽樣八位不同主修臺灣學生與兩位美籍人士,並透過與語言聽覺感知與Pratt軟體測量語調發聲兩種方式,來探討四技學生英語音韻覺識的建立與至母語語調、學習經驗、語言習得之間的關係。 |
英文摘要 | A primary concern with pronunciation is whether if young adult learners of Taiwan can reach a stage of interlanguage development in which they can internalize the prosodic features of the English language to reduce foreign accent. In the present study, through the perception and production tasks, it was suggested that the understanding of acoustic differences can enhance Taiwanese learners of articulatory and phonological awareness for confidence building, self-correcting, and monitoring the distinctive features of intonation in speech production. 8 Taiwanese learners and 2 American speakers involved in the tasks. This study discovered that by intonation contour and syllable pitch analysis, the better Taiwanese speaker, even with more pronunciation training and language learning experiences, still demonstrated non-native suprasegmental production, despite owning the capability of perceiving and recognizing the correct intonation patterns. Some pedagogical suggestions are proposed in the final part of the research. |
