中文摘要 | 生物技術產業為21世紀明星產業,也是我國重要發展產業之一,本研究主要目的是探討生物技術廠商進行技術創新時,創新過程中各階段所遇到的技術缺口類型,及面對這些技術缺口所採取的彌補策略。研究發現,生物技術產業之技術創新過程可分為:理念形成、產品發展、製程開發及商業化四階段。受到技術特性的影響並非所有的生技廠商皆會參與完整的階段,若是在技術複雜性高及不確定性高且難以解決的情況下,將暫時無法進入下一階段。技術創新過程中,因技術類型及技術特性的差異存在不同缺口類型,依據技術複雜性及技術不確定性的不同,將技術缺口分為大、次大、中、小四種類型。在技術缺口越大,所採取的技術缺口彌補方式種類越多元化,會同時採用數種方式來彌補缺口;反之,若是缺口越小,所採取的彌補方式為自行發展、外部獲取及合作中其中一種。 |
英文摘要 | Biotechnology Industry is a high potential industry of 21 century and also the important developing industry of our country. This research has discovered that the technology innovation process of Biotechnology Industry can be separated into four parts they are idea generation, product development, engineering and commercialization. However, not all of the cases joined the whole process, and the reason is the affection of the characteristics of technology. The companies would find difficulties going to next stage if they couldn’t solve the situation, which was in high complexity of technology and high uncertainty of technology. In the technology innovation process, depending on the difference of complexity of technology and uncertainty of technology, this research has also divided the technology gap into four types, which are large, minor large, medium and small. This research has discovered that the bigger technology gap is, the more multiple supplementary strategies may be used, and the companies also use several supplementary strategies to solve. Otherwise, if the gap is small, the supplementary strategy may be one of in-house R&G or acquisition or corporation. |
