中文摘要 | 細胞廣播服務(Cell Broadcast Service;CBS)提供GSM行動電話用戶接收廣播訊息的功能,細胞廣播服務在特定區域(行動電話細胞)內,把氣象、交通、廣告或新聞等區域性或通用性資訊廣播給在該區域內的用戶,行動電話用戶只要打開GSM手機內細胞廣播服務頻道,就可接收到這些廣播訊息。這種服務以一次之訊息傳遞通知一個區域內所有用戶,是個很有效率之訊息傳遞機制。但中華電信現有GSM網路設備僅提供基本細胞廣播功能,無法滿足商用化時預約、訊息排程、訊息傳遞及服務管理等必要機制。基於提供細胞廣播服務之需求,中華電信研究所著手細胞廣播管理系統(Cell Broadcasting Management System;CBMS)之研發,期許能建立提供服務時所需之發訊及管理機制,而本文之主要目的在介紹這個系統及其應用。 |
英文摘要 | The cell broadcast service (CBS) is a service of broadcasting one single message at a time to reach every hardest in an area of a radio cell. The users with CBS activated handsets turning on specific broadcasting channels can receive local information such as weather, traffic, advertisement, and news. From the viewpoint of sending messages to a great number of handsets in a specific area in a short time, CBS is more efficient than SMS and may become as another popular wireless service in the near future. In order to strengthen the cell broadcasting functions supported in the existing GSM system of Chunghwa Telecom, we have developed the cell broadcast management system (CBMS) that supports necessary mechanism required to provide CBS such as reservation, scheduling, sending, and management. In this paper, we will concisely introduce service features, functions, architecture, application examples, and present status of this system. |
