| 英文摘要 | The product yields from cracking a bituminous coal tar in a fixed-bed reactor were investigated at various temperatures up 850℃ in the presence and absence of some packing materials. Packing materials used include quartz chips, kaolinite, montomorillonite, Kieselguhr, and synthetic zeolites. One of the goals of this study is to find inexpensive catalysts and determine the conditions for maximizing tar conversion. Quartz beds seem to exhibit no catalytic effect, since the product yields are very similar to that obtained from the homogeneous cracing. Zeolites Linde LZY82 and Davison 13-X showed strong catalytic activity while molecular sieves Davison 4-A and 5-A with smaller pore sizes were much less active. Clay minerals were intermediate in their catalytic effectiveness. It was found that the zeolites Linde LZ-Y82 are remarkably effective in converting tar to gases and chars in the temperature range of 250 to 500℃. Among the factors involved for the catalytic effectiveness are (i) the effective pore size greater than 7 or 8 Å, (ii) large internal surface area accessible to tar vapor, and (iii) large number of strong acidic sites. |
